I have to say I've never liked The Top Ten Anime Babes website. Mostly for their insistence that "anti-babe" Belldandy is a whiny crybaby who never does anything (which I don't think is true). In Fushig Yuugi, Miaka and Yui both angst quite a bit. Yet while Yui is seen as "cool and mature and deep" for her angst, fans use Miaka's angsting as another reason to bash her. I DON'T get this at all ( Read more... )

I sometimes peak around the certain communities and I have noticed this disturbing trend where two rivals in a love triangle are written as bitter enemies when in the cannon they are not. This can turn into full on bashing.

This has been bugging me due to a recent jaunt into the Escaflowne fandom...
